It's interesting how so many ideas are easily reusable. My first two books were rejected multiple times mainly based on the plot, but I still love the characters and I definitely plan to reuse them at some point!ELAdamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11390894357209056149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-13887547657065584022012-10-03T05:13:27.805-07:002012-10-03T05:13:27.805-07:00I've got a project I've set aside for a wh...I've got a project I've set aside for a while, before I can tackle it with new eyes :)Angela Cothranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09243582290698922119noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-61351082771451448552012-10-02T22:53:47.427-07:002012-10-02T22:53:47.427-07:00Keep it up! I always thought they were a waste until not so long ago I realized I didn't even like the genre I was writing in. So it wasn't necessarily a waste, just a really long step in the right direction. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-31963507628554061252012-10-02T16:15:15.450-07:002012-10-02T16:15:15.450-07:00Great advice! I'd really like to revise the fourth one, but it might be quite a while before I can. I feel like I'm so stubborn that I won't know when to quit a MS. But since I haven't queried yet, I'll just wait and see what happens.Steph Sessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17418055704131162412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-88021384038901231122012-10-02T08:10:38.534-07:002012-10-02T08:10:38.534-07:00I have about the same stats as you. It's paranormal romance, which is not an "in" genre now.<br />You're right though, I don't regret any of them. And I've written all over the map! I have an adult contemporary I loved writing, but don't feel it's my break-out novel, ya know? Funny how we start to think of the market as we write our later stories. With the first one, I didn't consider my platform, etc.Emily R.
