In fact, I usually jump ahead when drafting just to write the next one, then in revising I have to cut back some. I really need to just write a romance novel some day. :)ilimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17899071063752311737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-28149059716129554262013-02-14T08:12:06.385-08:002013-02-14T08:12:06.385-08:00Do I!!!??? Not sure...I'm not really a romance book reader. Not sure why-- they just don't interest me. I like a great story and if there happens to be a love story, awesome. However, in some weird space of hypocrisy, I do love a good, mushy, chick-flick romance movie. Happy Valentines! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2306182475647359241.post-44594663595596849602013-02-14T07:33:57.395-08:002013-02-14T07:33:57.395-08:00Sorry, I'm with your husband on this one. It&...Sorry, I'm with your husband on this one. It's funny because I consider myself one of the most hopeless of all romantics, but I don't like Valentine's Day. Romance is best when it's spontaneous and passionate and done because it just feels right, and I feel like when Valentine's Day forces people to be romantic, it takes some of the magic out of it.

That said, I agree with you about loving love, especially in books. A good buildup followed by the realization of that tension is one of the most powerful things I can read. One of my favorites is in Little Women, when Jo and Fritz kiss for the first time (not exactly a steamy moment per se). Also, like, four scenes in No Humans Involved, one of the books in Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series.

Enjoy your Valentine's Day!!!Tobi Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04568662522495853235noreply@blogger.com
