Can you believe it's already April, 9? Crazy. We had a fun Easter weekend, full of bumps and bruises. My 5-year old fell on her bike and her eye is all black, my 7-year old fell and got a few cuts on his face, and my 2-year old face planted it outside and scraped up her nose and above her lip. They all look AWESOME! But, that didn't stop them from having fun this weekend. :)
Oh, and guess what, guys? My writing slump is OVER! WOOT! I'm happy to say I just needed some time off writing, and now I know what I'm going to work on. I'm hoping to be finished with my first draft by the end of May. We'll see. I think I can finish before then, but there's this thing called life that always sneaks up on me. I'll let you know how I do. Anyone want to set a goal with me? We can cheer each other on! :)
How was your weekend? And when you're in a writing slump, what do you do to get over it? I'm going to use some of your ideas in a post for later this week. ;)
Yay for Spring and I'm so happy to be back! :D

I hope DCFS doesn't show up at your house :)
Hooray for coming out of a slump! That always feels great!!!
Poor kiddos!! But I bet their scrapes are all very picture-worthy. Yay about the end of your slump! Goals are always helpful. I'd like to finish my WIP this week! (We'll see how it goes!)
Welcome back!
Sorry to hear about all the kiddy injuries, but at least they managed to still have fun!
Yay for the writing slump being done! And I totally understand about life getting in the way :)
Your children sound like me when I was that age. I guess all children are probably like that ;)
Kids have no fear. As long as their injuries don't warrant a trip to the ER, life is good.
Glad your writing slump is over. :^)
Wow, that is quite a few bumps and bruises. We made it out of our weekend booboo free.
YAY!!! On your slump being over.
Hmm, goals. I want to set one, but I also don't want to fling myself right back into feeling like I always have to write. I'm still recovering from before. I think I'll wait until the end of April to set goals again. ;0)
Does coming out of your writer's slump have anything to do with your second trimester? 1st and 3rd are/have knocked me down, but the 2nd was bliss.
I'm glad you had a great Easter weekend. Enjoy your rock n' rolling writing days!
I had a great week off of blogging. Felt really good. BUT - it was so sad when I checked my email and didn't have all the happy little comments...
I swear my kids both get bruised up at the same time, too. Then I'm at the store and get dirty looks...
YAY! Glad you're out of the slump. It was fun to see you guys yesterday too, but sad to see the scratched up faces. :( The kids are so stinkin' cute though!
Isn't it funny that the more kids you have the more you realize they don't break? Sounds like a crazy Easter weekend. Glad to hear you are back to writing again
So glad you had a great week. For me writing slumps come when life is too overwhelming and there isn't anything left of me to put on paper. The only thing to do in that case is get my life in order, then I can write.
I step away. Because that slump is exactly when I'm at greatest risk of wrecking the story if I try anything.
Oh no, poor babies! War wounds usually do mean fun times, though :) Yay for the writing slump being over!! Ugh, I hate writing slumps. I was in one the past two weeks and am just starting to recover. A writing break usually helps me, and time to brainstorm. That'll be a great post, I can't wait to see what everyone says!
No bruises on kids for me, but I can say that for my car! It broke down on our way back from the beach...in the middle of nowhere! Sucky ducky! But I'm glad ur back. I don't know if I am.
Glad you're back! Sorry about all the bumps and bruises, but I'm glad none of them seem too bad.
I just pulled sort of-kind of out of a writing slump of my own (and by "out" I mean I can look over the wall now). Mostly I just keep writing, even if I'm producing crap, in hopes that I'll get to the other side at some point.
Congrats on your slump being over! Good luck!
Hope the littlies are recovering nicely!
Yay for having a writing plan, I can't even think of one until April is over :-)
And they say video games are unhealthy...we have ER bills to prove unplugging them is way more dangerous...and filled with much better stories!
Glad your out of the slump!
Good thing kids bounce back.
To get over a slump, I usually change what I'm working on to get my mind off a current project then I go back.
Glad you had a good Easter, despite the bumps and bruises! And yay for the end of a writing slump!
I'm hoping to finish another draft of my book (hopefully a semi-final draft) by the end of May, so we can be each other's cheerleaders! :)
When I'm in a writing slump, I let myself rest. That's usually where my slumps come from. I try to do other things for my creativity, and get outside as much as I can!
I'm glad your writing slump is over! Sometimes a break is necessary. I'm setting goals too- we should cheer eachother on!
Would it be awful if I said I wasn't aware of your leaving? Yes. It would be. So I won't say it. :)
