Grrrr....
Remember that one time when I said I was back from a blogging break? Yep. I remember it too. Well, Tuesday night our computer died. Our new one will be here on Saturday hopefully. I just want to remind everyone to back up your work on a flash drive. You never know when your computer might fail you. Have you ever lost your work? I would have had a heart attack I think...

That is scary! I think I'd have a heart attack too if I lost everything! So thanks for the reminder.

I lost my book once. Fortunately I had barely started and it was only about 30 pages. Still I was pretty upset.
Did your hard drive blow up?
Yes, I've lost work WAAY too many times! One time, I was editing a chapter and I got the entire thing done! The next day, I looked at the document, and all the change's I'd made were gone. I was frustrated, but I just thought 'well, this thing happens to everyone at times', so I so I re-edited it and all was well. Until I re-opened it again.
That continued on three times, and it was so frustrating! Luckily, I figured out that I wasn't saving it right and I've FINALLY finished that chapter!
My husband bought a flash drive for me and said I had to. I guess he didn't want to live with me if I lost all my work.

I've been MIA from the blogosphere this week too. Not intentionally though. Is it really Thursday already???
I did, and spent too much money recovering my hard drive. Which reminds me...it's been too long since I've backed up my book.
I am not going to answer that without being able to knock on some wood! No lost data here! :)
Oh no! I know the feeling though. I lost fifty pages of a manuscript once. That reminds me, I should back up my stuff!
I'm a maniacal backer-upper. Once you get stung you form an unnatural attachment to your thumb drives.
I was just thinking about this the other day. I think I might store things on my work computer, they back things up every couple of days.
Ouch! I hope you can save something off your hard drive.
Our hard drive is fine. It was the power supply and the motherboard. Thank goodness!! Still sucks though. :(
