If I could sum it all up in one word? AWESOME.
Another word? OVERWHELMING.
Bottom line? I loved it. The whole thing.
I went with my critique partners Katie Dodge, (who is wonderfully awesome and will have her own blog really soon) and Brenda Sills. (Who is also wonderfully awesome and I am trying to talk into blogging! Ha!)
I would have posted a picture of all three of us, but the one with Brenda in it, I look like a total moron, so I'll just let you imagine what she looks like! :)
Anyway. The people were awesome. The classes were awesome. Interestingly enough, one of my favorite classes was with Dan Wells. He writes like horror and scary stuff. Totally not my genre. BUT, I wanted to learn how to write more intense scenes and his class was SO good. He was funny, awesome, and had a ton of great information. (He also scared the heck out of me when he showed us a few scary movie clips in the class.)
My other favorite class was Melanie Jacobson's dialogue one, and Sarah Eden's class on Romance. Both AWESOME classes and great presenters!
I'm going to go to bed now, since I'm suffering from lack of sleep, but I'll be updating this week on what went on this past weekend! Have a great Monday! :D
**I WILL be writing more about the classes and what I learned. :)
