Today's weird word: Awesomesauce.
Definition: Awesome with a hint of sauce.
My sentence: My writing friends are so amazing that I want to cover them in a big bucket of awesomesauce. Not sure what that would entail, but I imagine it would be messy. :)
Speaking of awesomesauce, I have a fabulous critique partner that just started a blog. Go show her some love and give her a follow! :D
What would be your definition of awesomesauce? Where did the word come from, and does your spouse freak out and want to hit something whenever you say it? ;)

lol... awesomesauce is a word I'd never heard until I started blogging.
off to check out your CP! :)
Hahaha! That is so awesomesauce! Best. Word. Ever. Even Mitch thinks so. ;)
Chantele, you are made of awesomesauce.
Great word! Off to follow your CP at her new blog :)
Your story ideas are all wrapped up in awesomesauce :D
Off to show the blogger-love...
LOL. My husband freaks when I say certain words. Like oopsie. So of course I do it on purpose.;)
Off to follow your CP! Critique partners are dipped in awesomesauce.
Okay, here's my take: The word awesomesauce makes me hungry. Sorry, I like food. When I hear awesomesauce, even as you describe wanting to cover your writer friends with it, I'm sort of wishing I was at Famous Daves, smothering fork-fulls of brisket in their awesomesauce. Is that wrong?
Oh, Chantele! You are the definition of awesomesauce! Thanks for giving my blog a shout out! You're the best! :) And Kim, I don't think that's wrong at all. I'm right there with ya! ;)
Oooh, I've got me a craving for some awesomesauce now! LOL!
Awesomesauce makes me think of all sorts of fruity/berry flavored applesauce. :)
So fun to meet you in person at the conference, Chantele!
Great word! I love making up my own random words and/or combining different words. =)
The first time I heard this word was at ldstorymakers 2010 in Elana Johnson's query class. I thought she made it up. Maybe she did. Wouldn't it be neat to make up a word? :)
Elana J. is the first one I heard use the word awesomesauce. I love to say it, but I sort of feel like maybe I'm too old to use such words. LOL.
At first I pictured applesauce, but if it's truly an awesome sauce, it's got to have some - no, a LOT - of chocolate. Cool word. I thought you made it up. I never heard it before. Thanks for signing up to follow me. I'm going to your CPs new blog, too. Sometimes we newbies need to help each other out. It's soooooo exciting to get a new comment or a new follower! Woo hoo!
Actually, I think I've heard my spouse use that word before...
The first time I heard that word, was on Elana Johnson's blog. But I don't know if it originated with her or someone else. I haven't really adopted the word. I've tried it out, but it doesn't feel like me so . . . yeah. Does that make me lame?
@Pk Hrezo It's such a funny word, huh? Ha ha! :) Thanks for stopping by my crit partners blog! :D
@Michelle Merrill Woot! I'm awesomesauce! :D You are awesomesauce too, Michelle! :)

@Michelle Teacress I would LOVE to make up a word! I always have weird combinations of words in my head. My hubby gets annoyed when I tell him about it! Ha ha! :)
@Angie I have no idea where I heard it. I could see Elana using it though. She could totally rock it! ;)
@LynNerd Yay! I'm glad you're starting out! Blogging is the best! :)
@L. Diane Wolfe Ha ha ha!!! It drives my hubby crazy! :D
@ali
No, it doesn't make you lame at all! I'm not sure if I can say the word and make it sound cool! lol I try. :)
Thanks for your comment. I'll keep sending out queries and hopefully someone will think it's awesomesauce. Is that the correct context? :)
Awesomesaucetasticnesslynessfulness. That's the word that you go home saying after a week away at camp. ;) Thee best word. Ever. Deserves to be on the cover of Webster's, it's that cool.
@K.D. Kinney Yes! That context is great! :D
@Madeline Bartos Ha ha ha! That is an AWESOME word you've got there! Seriously! :D
