I hated the way he said my name. How it made me feel. So intimate. So right. The way he stole my heart and ripped it from my chest every time he walked into the same room as me.
And since everyone is doing a few more excerpts, I'll add one more. :) This is a little bit longer and one of my favorite scenes from BOUND.
He stood in front of me, his face bruised and bleeding from his stupid fight.
"Me or him. I can't stand it anymore. If you like him, just tell me and get it over with."
"Don't–"
"No. You've been screwing with my emotions since I met you. I can't handle it anymore. I can't stand the thought of you being with him. Especially when he–"
"Him." My eyes widened as I realized what I'd said.
Darcy gasped next to me, and I covered my mouth.
"Then it's done," he said. "If you'll excuse me." He moved around me and stalked off toward the house.
