My Thoughts This Week

1. I'm starting to lose my voice. Seriously. I sound like a dying animal of some sort every time I open my mouth. It's not pretty. My kids are scared. I also can't hear out of one ear. I really need to get over this stupid cold. Or sinus infection. Or cough. Or all three. :P

2. My hubby and I are addicted to Criminal Minds. It's on every night. 2 episodes. Why do I watch it when it gives me nightmares? Just kidding. I really don't get nightmares, but it does freak me out sometimes and makes it hard to fall asleep. I love it though.

3. I'm watching the Newsies this weekend. I heart that show. I had a crush on Jack (Christian Bale), when I was younger. And Spot Conlon. I thought he was hot because he was tough and everyone was scared of him. See? I liked the "bad boy" even in my childhood! lol My sister has never seen it and I told her it's unacceptable. I know every word to every song. I may or may not know all the actors lines as well ...

4. Writer friends are the best. They always make you feel better about yourself when you feel like crap about your writing. I love them. And I love getting on my blog and finding comments from all of you. It makes me so happy.

5. I have like a million dessert recipes on Pinterest that I'm trying to decide what to make this weekend. You know, to just take a bite of and then give it away to someone else... I'm such a liar. I'll eat the whole thing. Anyway, help me pick!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookie. Uh ... yes please!

Cinnamon Roll Cake. I have no words...

Rolo Cookies. Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my keyboard...

I'd say I have a pretty big dilemma deciding which one of these delectable treats to make! They all look SO good!

Have a great weekend! Oh, and I'm so sorry I haven't been around to blogs much this week or answered a lot of comments. I promise I'm reading them and I'll get back on my feet next week after I kick the crap out of my stupid cold this weekend! :)

Ahhh, my wife is also in the 'Jack' fan club. Her love of Christian Bale has sadly not diminished with time. :-)

Hope you feel better soon!

Rolo cookies!!!!!!!! Then if they're as good as they look share the link to the recipe.

We have the same cold. Brought it home from Utah after the adoption. I'm loosing my voice too but the kids aren't scared. They're excited because they think they can get away with anything.

Oh my gosh... looking at those desserts made me forget the rest of the post! LOL. I vote for pics 1 and 3. And if you want me to taste test some I would be happy to. :)

Hope you are feeling better soon. Echinacea, cookies and sleep.

Those desserts look divine! I want all of them. That's awesome that you want to cook when you don't feel well. That's usually the LAST thing I want to do.

Your sister hasn't seen Newsies? Is she human? Haha. Just kidding. Sing it to her! Show her what you've got :)

I love writing friends too. And I've been addicted to watching mindless disney channel movies...every night! Yeah, writing has been a minimal lately. Grr. I need to fix that!

Rolo cookies. Definitely.

Oh, Newsies! I need to find that and make my kids watch it. I'm sure they'll love it as much as I do. How could they not?

Open the gates and seize the day! Don' be afraid and don't delay. Nothing can break us. No one can make us. Give our rights away. Arise and seize the day!

So inspirational. Feel better, Chantele!

I've introduced my boys to Newsies and they are 75% impressed 23% embarrassed 2% horrified. But that doesn't keep them from singing "I'm the King of New York" around the house.

I vote Rolo Cookies. They are a favorite at my house. But in my recipe the dough is chocolate.

Do all three of those desserts on consecutive weekends, then post reviews (and recipes)! But if I had to vote, mine would be for the chocolate chip cheesecake cookie. *drool* Hope you get to feeling better soon! Sounds like you have a doozy.
