Oh, Fall. How I heart you.

I'm pressed for time today, since I'm going on a field trip to a pumpkin patch with my preschooler. She is so excited. Even more exciting? I'll be chasing her little sister around the pumpkin patch, making sure she keeps her pants on. Good times, my friends. Good times.

And later I get to go search for a Luke Skywalker costume. My son refuses to be anything else. I'm pretty sure I might have to just grab an old brown blanket and tie it around him to make a robe, since I can't find one under fifty bucks. Oh well. At least my preschooler knows what she wants to be. A pirate. She's obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It's on Disney Channel, but since we don't get cable or whatever, she watches it online. :)
As for 18-month old? She'll probably be going as a nudist, since she won't keep her clothes on. :P

Last year I went as a rock star.

I'm the one with the guitar. Oh, yes. I can play a mean Guitar Hero. Besides that stupid orange button. My fingers aren't long enough to reach it. I'm obviously on the shorter side... And with that happy, embarrassing photo, I'll leave you alone now.

So, what is your favorite thing to do in the fall? Do you pick pumpkins? Make cider? What are your kids going to be for Halloween? Or what are YOU going to be for Halloween? ;)

LOL, I think my toddler might try to go as a nudist as well. Just call it "river nymph" so it sounds planned. ;)

Fall is my favorite! I love big bonfires, chili and roasted dogs and hayrides on Halloween, where EVERYONE dresses up! Last year, I was Cleopatra and DH was Marc Anthony. Mostly because I wanted to put eyeliner on him!

Have fun picking pumpkins!

LOL. You and your sisters are the coolest. I LOVE FALL! I really do. Everything about it. I love the weather, I love the pumpkin patches, I love carving pumpkins, halloween, costumes and more. Only thing I don't like is the chain saw guy in the haunted house. Not a good thing for me. :)

Ha! I love your guitar photo. And I love fall. I'm anti-Halloween this year. No particular reason, just don't feel like participating.

Excellent photo. For the longest time, my 4 year old wanted to be Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Now she wants to be Barbie Princess Charm School.

Alas.

I am a huge fan of Halloween! Every year my mom throws a party. I've won the coveted trophy for best costume many times. Not that it's competitive or anything. :)

My two-year-old is going to be a gnome. White beard and everything.

Have fun chasing nudy!

I love seasons. I love that we get to experience all of it. I have no idea what I'll be for Halloween but I want to wear lots of make-up. Maybe I'll be a goth.

Oooo great picture! I might be Belatrix Lastrange :) I dressed up as her for the HP opening this summer.

I found a bag of hair under my 10 year old's bed. Yes, that's right HAIR! His hair from his hair cuts. He told me he was saving it so I could glue it together and make his a "hair suit" for Halloween. I need to supervise my kids better!

Cute picture.

South Africa doesn't really celebrate Halloween. :-/

There's no pumpkin picking or apple picking in coastal Georgia! It makes me miss NJ so much!! Hope your trip to the pumpkin patch was awesome! My girl is going as a 'rainbow princess.' I'm game for dressing up, but will probably let my little bratty girl help me choose. She's kind of into matching, so I might be a giant rainbow princess! PS You rock that guitar!

Loving the rockstar pose. Fall is my favorite too. I love the sweaters and hot chocolate and pumpkin patch.

Haha, awesome costume. Sounds like you're going to have a wonderful Halloween! And I love that your pre-schooler wants to be a pirate--too cool. :)

Love the costume. I've gone as a flapper girl, and a nun. I have no idea what I wil do this year. If I do anything.

We go the pumpkin patch every year. It is so much fun. This year I really want to go to the creepy corn maze.

We've been in the middle of a drought so there's barely any pumpkins around here.

My best friend and I are dressing up as the concept of 'obvious'. It will involve lots of neon and puffy paint! :D

I'm going to be "pregnant" (wrap a pillow around my middle with plastic wrap. It's really fun to get all those second looks, like, I didn't know she was pregnant! Wait! She's not! That's her costume? LOL

Ha! Love you as a rock star. I went as a goth punk one year. It was AWESOME. I got to have pink in my hair.

We were all pirates last year. This year, the Kiddo is going as a bee. I think maybe I'll go as Pooh bear. :)

Last year I was an emo girl. Dark eye makeup, skull jewelry, and an Edward Cullen shirt. It was fun. Not sure how i can top it. :)

This is a really cute post! I like your style! :)

We went to the Salvation Army today and found elements of costumes. My eldest actually found a Darth Vader costume, and my second son found a black thing to use as Luke. We found a white shirt to use for our "Leia." The baby will have to settle for green sweatpants and a green shirt to be Yoda.

You ROCK it Chantele. Remember my picture that is quite similar to this?

I love everything about fall. Favorites would include pumpkin patches, the smell of cider, and the fall color. Oh how I LOVE the colors!

One daughter wants to be a ghost. The others don't care, they just want to go trick or treating :)

We'll see if I dress up. Last year I was an attachment and my hubby was an email. Cheesy last minute something we did for a trunk or treat!

You make a very convincing rocker. :)

I'm not a big fan of fall, but I do enjoy autumn-ish food and the chance to wear my cute jeans again. My girlie is dressing up as Rapunzel this year, and I'm going as Hermione Granger for the second year in a row. Love her!

I love decorating with mums, cornstalks and pumpkins. It's such a comforting time of year!

Yess...I love Fall too. I just went Halloween shopping yesterday with the kiddos and decorated. It was so fun!

Ha, great photo! Love it. For Halloween? Eh, it's fun to dress up but I have nowhere to do it. And the kids are out of the nest. So we just hand out the sugar to the neighbor kids when they trick or treat. :)

LOVE the costume. My oldest son wants to be a rock guitarist for Halloween. He even bought his own colored hair gel for it. :)

I hate dressing up. I always feel so self-consious...even if EVERYONE else at our parties is dressed up. Rock star is actually a great idea. My kids are probably going to wear the same constumes they've been wearing for like 4 years (they just get shorter and shorter). I am a halloween party pooper. Love the candy, though.

Such a fun post! I can't wait for Halloween. I'm going Steampunk and am having a blast pulling my costume together. :)

You look awesome!! I honestly can't remember what I went as last year, but I have 2 jedi costumes for my son. Wish you lived closer. I would send them your way.

Just dress your son all in black and give him a red light saber. Then he's Luke from the final battle in Return of the Jedi.

Fall is my time to become a hermit. I dislike cold weather and so find I stay indoors more and more.

Wait. I think I'm a hermit year-round...

Halloween...probably not dressing up since I'll likely be with my family escorting my nephews around the neighborhood to trick or treat. Youngest will be Yoda with no idea on what Big Brother will be.

Ru, you are AWESOME! And Chantele, thanks so much for introducing her to us. Yay!

I was totally ROFL at the whole footwear thing. I can honestly say, I've never heard that one before!
