Yes. I failed. BUT, I didn't fail entirely. I'm doing NaNoReMo instead. And it's going GREAT! My book is getting stronger, and I know I'll be done before December. Well, hopefully... He he. You never know, right? :P
How are you all doing with your NaNo's? Can't wait to hear!

I'm actually doing NaNoCriMo... I'm critiquing for another writer while she does NaNoWriMo...and them I'm going to edit the whole thing for her. I'm excited!
@Reece That's a great idea! Good luck with critiquing! :D
Not fail. Just a change of plans. I'm doing NaNoReMo too. But I'm reading a lot, not revising. Have fun making your book all sparkly and pretty!
I failed as well. In fact, I didn't even write a single sentence. So you can at least comfort yourself that you beat me. ;)
I'm not doing it, but still making progress. haha. I'm over 20K now! YAY!
So far 14K words, but I think I'll have to rewrite most of it. Part of me thinks I should stop and rewrite now. But then part of me thinks, I just need to get the story out that way I can figure some things out.
It's not failure if your still accomplishing something! I'm at 16K, and I'm telling myself to just keep trucking :)
If you want to join our ReviMo group, I'm sure Peggy would still put you in the e-mail list we're doing everyday. She just added someone a few days ago. I'd e-mail Peggy and ask. If you want to, that is. It's really helping me plow through.
I had a NaNoWriMo fail last evening. I fell asleep before getting to my NaNo MS. But I'm hoping to regain some footing this evening. Enjoy NaNoReMo. Sounds like you're really making headway with it.
I was on fire last week, but failing so far this week. But I'm going to catch up!
And one more thing. I love the NanoRemo because I don't feel the pressure to come up with something entirely new. I can fix my old stuff.
I'm glad u joined us for revising. It really is awesome to beheld accountable for ur revision goals.
I'm at 11k now...and wondering how this is going to work with a Thanksgiving trip in the midst of it all.
You guys are SO awesome. Seriously.
You didn't fail at all, you changed your focus to one that suited you better.
When you have a family...Yes, you never know. I just caught up on your pen name post. I'm with you. I use my real name. And I don't even think I wouldn't if I pubbed in multiple genres. I think that's just fine!
My husband keeps telling me to stop writing and start editing. He just doesn't get NaNo.
BUT he does get that you need to do what needs to be done, and it sounds like you needed to do some editing so don't stress NaNo failure. Most people have get it- I'm probably doomed (you just knew when to change directions)
I'm at 21k. I think it's getting less and less clever as I write :(
I'm doing NaNoCoMo - completion. I'm halfway through an MS that I really need to just finish.
I don't think it's a fail at all. I'm learning, though this is my first NaNo, that the realy value of this is accountability. It's a deadline. Complete [FILL IN THE BLANK GOAL] by end of month. It's about generating work product by virtue of work instead of inspiration. It's the elbow grease to go along with the magic. I don't think it matters what work you apply to elbow grease to!
I agree with Ruth, it's just a change of plans! Good luck!
I'm currently floundering in NaNo. I missed a day, and it's so hard to find time to make up what I lost...especially when my little man-child refuses to nap. :)
I am so excited that you joined us! Revising is the best.
Slow ... really slow! But it's only been a week and a few days.
Yay, so glad that NaNo is going well for you! You're doing way better than I am!
