Books to Movies

Lately, there have been quite a few books turned into movies. I'm sure you've noticed a few of them...

If you were to get a movie deal with your book, who would you choose to play your main characters?

I haven't thought about it with the current revision WiP mostly because I'm not up on younger actors and all my characters are in their mid-teens.

It's something to think about but I have to keep myself from daydreaming it while still in early revisions.

Your characters have very interesting looks about them.

I want to read your book INBETWEEN now. I love seeing the characters that are in your head. It's great!

I do this all the time! I love your picks for your characters. I pick Jeremy Sumpter as the cast for my character Kalan, and Kristin Kreuk for the MC Gena.

Though I have to say, the idea of having my book someday turned into a movie is as nerve-wracking as it is exciting. I've seen a lot of movies that really ruined the book...

Oooh! Fabulous pics. I love the girl you picked as Andee. She's gorgeous! I haven't found suitable pics for my characters yet. Where do you find yours?

I love this game. I did it a few months ago, and I found it to be really helpful with characterization.

Great character choices!

One of my CP's and I e-mailed pics back and forth of my characters. I made her find pics of what she thought they would look like. It was fun. She did pick Mario Lopez for one of my guys and I was NOT happy. LOL.

I always imagined my protagonist from Witch's First Rule to look like a younger Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Love this! I did it for an old WIP once. Alex Pettyfer was the love interest of my MC (who I based after a girl I went to church with. She had the creamiest skin and MATCHING hair, it was gorgeous so I just loved it and wrote my MC like her), and Shane West was the other love triangle love interest boy, whatever you call him, lol! Fun, great picks for yours!

Wow...I've actually never considered what would happen if my book made it to a movie...I think just the fact it was published would be amazing! I like your people though :)

Also, you've gotten a blog award from me. Yay!

I actually made a cast list for my book which includes Leelee Sobieski and Minnie Driver.

Speaking of books made into movies, I just saw Hugo.

Oooh, what a pretty cast! I tend not to cast my books until I've finished them. I want to make sure I know the characters as their personalities before I know them as what they look like, if that makes any sense. :)

I have a habit of doing this too. Love your cast!

Hmm I've actually never been good at trying to think of people for books. No one seems to fit just right. For the first book I ever wrote though, I cast Chris Evans as the teacher in the forbidden student/teacher relationship (lol) and the bad prince guy from Stardust as the main villain. But for my main character females, I can never pick!

Is it bad to say I'm not sure who any of those people are? The last one looks very sweet though :-)

Gawd, I'm getting old!

Please tell me those guys are at least 18 or I'm going to feel bad about my thoughts. LOL Tell me they're 21 and I'm copying/pasting them to a pinterest board. ;)

I always pick out pictures for my characters. How cool is it to tell your husband you have to look at hot guys, it's research!

Have a great week!

I can't decide who I like for leading man, but for the girl I definitely love Emma Watson.

The girl for Andee is only 13! :) She is on the Disney Channel! I think Emma Stone would be good for Andee because of her red hair! :)
