Moving right along!

I'm more than halfway finished with the first draft of my WIP! It's coming along great, and I can't wait to finish it and start submitting. (After edits and critique's of course.) I've gotten some GREAT feedback on it already though, and am actively working on it almost every night. Once the kids are in bed, and hubby is doing homework.:)
That is my designated time to write.
I never write when the kids are awake, because there is no possible way I'd get anything done. My 6 month old needs me, my oldest needs rides to and from Kindergarten, and time with mommy, and my preschooler just wants to play princesses with me all day. So, night time is my time. Except on Friday's.
Friday's are my hubby's and my date night. We each take turns every other week and pick something for us to do. Either watch a movie, play a game, or just sit and talk. Usually our date night is spent at home, since the kids are in bed, but it's so nice to just spend time together. It keeps our relationship strong, and we have fun just talking and laughing about stupid things. Even if I'm itching to write, I still turn off the computer. Even if my fingers are craving the keyboard...
One thing I know, is that writing is lonely, but I still love it. My hubby is so supportive, and knows I love it. I just love him. Even if he isn't a huge fan of reading. **shudder**
How do you find time to write? Any secrets I should know about? :)

Hi there! Great blog. You sound a lot like me. I write during nap times. I have 5 kids but only one left at home. It's so nice to have that quiet in the middle of the day.

I'm a follower!

Hi Cutie! I love your blog. Thank you for dropping by mine and leaving a comment.

I have 4 kids. Ranging from preschool to middle school. I'm alone for 3 1/2 hours four times a week. I whip out my lappie and feverishly edit at that time. Then I wait until 9ish and continue editing. I will NOT edit/write at the expense of my kids' times because I truly feel like I'm neglecting them--indulging in my hobby. I've tried it a few times and feel guilty. I'm the kind of mom that can't do it while my kids are up and about. :)

I network from 8-9, another part of being a writer.

It's crazy!

Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog! <3

I think the big secret about writing is (wait for it) there IS NO SECRET. :D Sounds like you've got a plan that's going to work for you though and that's awesome. So many people struggle with that.

I love that you and your hubby have regular dates. We do too and boy do we feel it if for some reason we miss our date one week.
