Distractions

Well, I had that interview with Jessie Oliveros yesterday, and blogger ate it. :( I know most of you read it, so hopefully blogger figures it out. If not, I may have to post her interview again sometime.

It was kind of nice not worrying about reading blogs yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I love blogging and I love reading everyone's posts, but it was nice having a little break.

It got me thinking about distractions with my writing. The internet is a huge one. Can you guess what the biggest one is though? Pretty sure you can figure it out looking at these pictures. ;)

I can't put into words how much I love these three little distractions. :)
What are some of your distractions?

My distractions are the same. 3 kids. Messy house. Internet. It's all time that has to go somewhere. I'm not always the best time user, sadly.

It did eat the interview. I read it and I know others got to comment but I wasn't able to. It was a great interview.

I have the same distractions. And I love mine too. I especially love how you posted the back of your kids. I need to try that sometime :) I usually don't put them on my blog but this is a good idea.

Have a great weekend!

LOVE the picture of them by the sidewalk chalk! So cute.

Yes, I have three young distractions here too, but I also think I let fear or perfection be a distraction to writing too.

I love my little distractions, too. And I was going to write something nice yesterday like, "Thanks Chantele for interviewing me! It was a lot of fun." But...well...blogger. Anyway, blogger ate my post yesterday, too.

Too fun. Been playing with my kiddos outside today, too.

Pretty awesome.

My kids, FB, cleaning my house, washing my hair...

I am easily distracted until I sit down and start writing. Then I get so in the zone, I think the fire alarm could go off and it would take me a while to realize what it was.

I had a great time meeting you at the conference. You have a great blog!

Aww, how could you not help being distracted by those cute little people.:)

Love it! Those little ones are what we're here for, aren't they? Darling pics, btw. :)

Your babies are SO beautiful! I'm thinking that question depends on the angle! If I want to write, my family can be distracting. If I want to play with my kids, my phone can be the distraction or my own needs. It's interesting how life works, isn't it? :)

Distractions aren't always bad. I have four at my house. Sometimes it's so hard to turn away from a scene I'm in the middle of, but at the same time, I don't want to miss out on my time with them. It goes by way too fast!

@Kayeleen Hamblin I know. It's hard to find balance in a house with three kids!
@Michelle Merrill Thanks Michelle! I don't dare show their faces on here. It's too scary now days. :)
@Stacy Henrie Thanks Stacy! I do agree about being perfect or having fear that you won't amount to anything would be a distraction. It's hard to have confidence in our writing. At least it is for me.
@Jessie Oliveros I feel so bad your interview got eaten! There were quite a few comments too! I may have to re-post...
@Jolene Perry I'm just glad we can go outside! It's been so cold and rainy here!
@Kaylee Baldwin I get into the zone as well. It's funny how we get so into our writing that we miss things. Husbands talking to us... Kids whining at us... Pretty much every important sound. ;)
@Ruth I know. Kids are the best! :D
@Kimberly Krey Yes, they really are. Thanks!! ;)
@Elizabeth Mueller Thanks Elizabeth! I agree. There are distractions with every aspect of life. It's so important to not get caught up in every single thing. I'm working on balance in my life. It's hard! lol
@Danyelle Ferguson That's why I have to write when the kids go to bed at night. It's too hard to miss their silly little moments. And I love playing and cuddling with them. They really grow up way too fast. Thanks for stopping by! :)

OMG they are so cute! I went to watch one of my distractions dance last night, and I was so proud! Tonight, one will be playing in the band.

Just love, love, love them for all they're worth! :)
