Birthday Giveaway!!

It's June! Can you believe it? Do you know what that means? It means my birthday is coming up! Mixed feelings about that, but I'm still excited. :)

Anyway, in celebration of my birthday, I'm having a giveaway! Woot!

Can you guess what I'm giving away?

No, not a cupcake with a million candles on it.

Wait for it.... Wait for it...

I'm giving away a book! :) Who knew, right?

Since I'm a Young Adult writer, I would like to give away a copy of any young adult novel to one of you lovely followers. Or manly followers. ;)

So, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me what YA book you are dying to add to your collection. It can be a new release, an old release, or a pre-order. Whichever you want.

If you tweet or blog about this contest, or follow my blog, let me know and I'll give you an extra entry.

The contest will end on the 15th at midnight, and I'll announce the winner on my birthday, June 16th! Woot!

Good luck guys! :D

**Don't forget to check out my friend's contest for a Barnes and Noble gift card as well!**

I want to read: Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have) by Sarah Mlynowski this summer.

Oh, you've grown up too fast! ;) I want to read Matched. I thought I had it on my Nook and totally don't.:( I'm off to tweet about this. :) PS- how much awesomesauce are you made up of for mentioning my little contest?! You're the best!:D

Yay for birthday celebrations! Mine is about a month later on July 15th! Awesome. I would LOVE a copy of Paranormalcy if I win :) Thanks for the giveaway.

It's hard to choose just one book, but I am really wanting to read Entwined by Heather Dixon. I've heard it's good and also I went to school with her brother and that makes me feel semi-pseudo- famous. LOL :D

Yay for a birthday!

There are so many books out there that I want to read. Ummm... crossed by Ally Condie. That's the one I'll go with. I'll tweet and link on my sidebar.

Awesome idea for a giveaway! Across the Universe by Beth Revis hasn't made it from sample on my Kindle to purchase, but I desperately want it to.

Shallee said...

Yay, happy birthday! I'm dying to read Divergent by Veronica Roth. The sample I read was amazing!

I hope you have an awesome birthday. :)

With so many titles to choose from, how am I supposed to pick? Hmmmm, how about "Personal Demons?" I've been dying to read that one.

I'm a new follower and I'll tweet your contest too.

Happy birthday (in a few days), Chantele! Thanks for sharing the birthday cheer!

Since ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS was my favorite book from last year, I'd have to go with LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR. Is it even available for preorder yet? I'm not sure...

(Oh, and I tweeted!)

Anonymous said...

Yikes, no YA books come to mind. But in celebration of the two geminis living in my house, i will follow your blog and wish you a very, very happy birthday. Enjoy!

Chantele Sedgwick said...

@Rebecca Kiel Thanks for stopping by! And if you really can't think of one, if you win I'll pick a favorite and send it to you, hoping and praying you'll like it! ;)

Do you always give presents on your birthday month!? Like...in real life? Cause your friends must ADORE June! ;)

Okay okay. This is pretty awesome of you, kidding aside. So very cool!

I have been dying to read The Marbury Lens and just haven't gone to get it. Or Possession. Or Divergent. My list is long, my friend.

P.S. I tweeted, and am a loyal follower, of course! :)

Yay! Happy Birthday!! I know, birthdays are definitely a time of conflict. Should we be happy? Pissed at time? I'm leaning towards the latter.

I'd love to read ENCLAVE by Ann Aguirre! I already follow you!

Kate said...

Fun contest! I had one on my blog for my birthday too.

I'm dying to read MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN.

I'm a new follower and I'll tweet about your contest too.

Happy birthday! I can't wait to read The Death Cure by James Dashner. I hope you have a great birthday, regardless of your feelings on the matter :)

HAPPEEEE ALMOST BIRTHDAAAAAAYYY!!

Possession by Elana

I am not a serial killer

If I stay/Where she went

Those are high on my list right now.

BUT I've gone over what other people want to read and I think I'm going to have to head over to goodreads and do some adding...

Woot for birthdays! Yesterday was my youngest's—I can't believe she's a year! And today, my sister had a baby—the first grandchild on my side of the fam that I didn't birth! (I was really pulling for her to come yesterday. That would be so cool! Now she shares a bday with one of my kids' cousins on my side of the family.)

I was hemming and hawing over which book to choose. I had to go through my to-read list on Goodreads—and then the choice was obvious. I want to read Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter!

Allison said...

My birthday is in June, too! :D Mine's on the 9th, though, which is in like THREE DAYS... I can't believe it came this quickly!

What an awesome contest! I totally want, like, a gazillion books. I've been dying to get Guardian of the Dead by Karen Healey for AGES, though. So that's my official entry :)

Also, I just followed your blog and I am about to tweet about the contest! Yaaaay for contests!

Hope to see you at ninjachat tomorrow night ;)

Candice said...

Happy Birthday! I am dying to add Hex Hall to my collection. Can you believe I still haven't read it!?

Melanie Jacobson said...

I love this idea for a giveaway. I'm bummed you have so many entries. I WANT TO WIN. I want to read 10 Thing I Did and Probably Shouldn't Have (Sarah Mylnowski) and Lola and the Boy Next Door (Stephanie Perkins). And I'll retweet! And I already follow your blog. At least, in my reader. I can't tell when I'm a follower on someone's widget or not. :)

Oh! Oh! Supernaturally!

I'd say POSSESSION, but I'm going to buy that myself later today.... :)

And our three boys... said...

Happy Birthday Chan! (Even though I'm jumping the gun a little bit since it's not technically for another week). You know what you should do? Just celebrate your whole birthday month! (Oh wait-- you're already doing that. :D)

I really have no idea what book I'm dying to read.

Number one is probably The Gray Wolf Throne, but in close second is The False Princess. And then maybe Entwined, but I'm headed to the library to pick it up right now.

So really, what I'm saying is that if I win you would be better off just picking one for me anyway, since you pick all my books in the first place. LOL

And our three boys... said...

P.S. I follow you (that sounds creepy) and I'm going to blog about you right now. (That sounds even creepier.)

Happy birthday! haha

Chaleese said...

So what would I like to read? I haven't read Matched yet, and I'd love to :D

Jamie VanBeekum said...

Happy Birthday! Megan's always talking about your suggestions, and now I can see why. I'm going to follow your blog now :) Umm... I think the book that that I'd most like to read is called Sing Me to Sleep by Angela Morrison. It's really piqued my attention. Thanks for the chance to win!

What a great way to celebrate, too. Hmmmm, I don't know a lot of YA, but Kiersten White's Supernaturally and Rob Well's Variant are two I definitely want to read but can't decide between.

Thanks, and have a GREAT birthday! :)
