Be Back Friday!

I'm taking the next few days off to hang out at Write On Con and to get my son ready for school. You know, shopping for supplies and clothes. Backpacks and what not.

Did I mention he's going to be a first grader?

A. First. Grader.

As in, he'll be in first grade.

Like, he'll be gone all day.

All. Day. Long.

HOLY CRAP!!

Hopefully I'll get over this little milestone and get all my freak-outs and emotional wreckage cleared up before next Tuesday.

Doubtful.

See you Friday! Enjoy your week! :D

Chantele, I know how your feeling. My baby is going to first grade as well. The worst part? He is literally my baby. As in my forth and final, and they'll ALL be gone ALL day long and the thought of it makes me want to bawl my eyes out. Just sayin'.

You could always homeschool. ():) Haha! It will be great! Think of the writing time? Good luck!

I have a first grader too. She is my last. Now all my kids are in school ALL DAY :) Oh, the things I will accomplish.

Oh, Chan! I can just see you and me crying together in the parking lot! Ha ha! I still can't think about her being gone all day long! Let's hope they get in the same class again! :)

What surprised me when my youngest daughter started first grade was how FAST the day went!

Did the first grade thing last year - and survived. :) My son had a great teacher and that helped. Good luck!

Have fun at WriteOnCon!

Dropped daughter off for THIRD grade today. Son is still home and going to pre-school in a few weeks.

For now?

He's bored cause his sister's gone, lol.

I am such a basketcase with the kids going to school thing - whether it's starting kindergarten, going back to school after the summer, or starting college. Ahhh! I can't take it! I love my kids so much, it's hard to let them go!

@Sarah Pearson Thanks! :)
@J. A. Bennett I hope so! ;)
@Kimberly Krey Oh, I don't know what I'd do if my last one was going to school. It will be weird enough with my oldest gone! :(
@Abby I'm sure it's the hardest with the first. I'm a baby though, so it will be hard for all of them! lol :)
@Shallee It is awesome and emotional. I'm excited, but so sad. Does that even make any sense? :)
@Nisa lol! It will be good for both of us to have him at school. I don't know how people do the homeschool thing. It's cool, but it would be so hard!
@Angie Cothran That will be one good thing. Getting things done while they're all gone. I still have a while before that happens though. ;)
@Katie Dodge I'm hoping they'll get the same class again too! They are too cute together!
@L. Diane Wolfe I'll try! lol :)
@Stephanie Black I'm sure as I get used to it the days will fly by!
@Stacy Henrie I'm praying for a good teacher. I'll find out on Monday. The day before school starts. :P
@Jolene Perry I'll have one in 1st and one in preschool. And a little one running around not knowing what to do without them! :)
@Maggie Yay! It's been awesome huh? :)
@Brenda Sills I know I'll be the exact same way. I don't want them to grow up yet! :(

: ( My first born will be a first grader. I'm trying not to think about it. I was okay when he went to Kindergarten (it's half time where I live), but I'm going to cry when he goes to school this time. Huge bucketfuls of tears. I hope your send off went well!
