Things that made me happy this week.

1. Write-On-Con: If you missed it, you can still go to the website and read through everything. I wasn't able to "be there" the entire time, but I did read the transcripts of some of the chats and read and watched some of the presentations. It was awesome. They all had amazing advice. You should really check it out.

2. My WIP INBETWEEN is coming along great! I'm at 18,000 words. GREAT progress for me. I'm loving this book. I haven't felt this way since I wrote my fairytale one last year. So, here's to awesome WIP's that make us love writing again!

3. Visiting other blogs and hearing good news. I love congratulating people. Nothing makes me happier than clicking on a blog and seeing they've gotten an agent or book deal. I've seen three people get book deals this week. Crazy and exciting! So happy for them.

4. Phineas and Ferb. Need I say more? That show is freaking hilarious. My kids have been watching it on Netflix all week. I figure since my son will be gone all day starting next Tuesday, he can have a lazy week this week. And he has. He's sleeping over at his grandma's tonight and is so excited!

5. I love my kids. They honestly make me so happy, (And frustrated, lol) all the time. They are hilarious and definitely keep me on my toes. Here are a few funny things my 4-year old daughter said at the fair last week.

"Daddy, we can't touch cows because they moo."

"That chicken looks like a bird."

She is so funny. Love my kids. My son going to 1st grade next week is going to be hard on me and my girls. He'll love it though. He is so ready. My daughter is starting preschool again two mornings a week, and me and my baby girl will just hang out by ourselves while everyone else learns and makes new friends. It will be good to spend some one on one time with her. She is growing up way too fast for my liking! :)

How are you guys doing? How was your week? Have any kids going to school this week or next? I'll see you guys on Monday! :)

Phineas & Ferb is a show that my whole family loves. My 4 year old dances and sings so hard to the song at the end of 2nd Dimension movie.

My oldest is starting 2nd grade, and I am happy for him that school is starting. He gets so bored when he's not going to school, and my 4 year starts preschool.

I'm having a great week. I think I might have made an awesome new friend, I realised I was writing the wrong story - and know what the right one is - and I have a room full of teenage girls giggling away at 'A very Potter musical' (it's the twins' birthday). Good times :)

I have one kiddo at home while the other three are at school. We have fun and special times together. He's my little buddy. Kids definitely make life interesting!

Yay for the progress on your WIP! So glad you're having fun!

Hi Chantele! Good post- made me think of things that made me happy this week (a week with a return from a long vacation AND a killer cold). My top three are 1. obviously my dogs (my only kiddos for now) who were not as happy to see me as I was them after my trip to Ireland but I got over it while rubbing some bellies and getting slobbered on, 2. WriteOnCon and discovering Goodreads, and 3. watching all the shows saved up on my DVR from the trip (I know how lame that sounds, but it was heaven!).

Phineas & Ferb is the only show that doesn't drive me crazy on the Disney Channel!

This week has been a successful one. I now have a crit partner. I'm way excited. I have a 3 1/2 year old and we just do a neighborhood preschool were we each take turns teaching twice a week. They do grow too fast!

I went to my first day of high school today. Wasn't that bad. I didn't get lost, and was only a little bit tardy to one class. :) My sister had a great time. She's in fourth grade.

I have a 4yo too and I love the things that come out of his mouth. Some of the best parts of my day are when we talk or when I overhear him say something to his little sister (yesterday she wanted to roughhouse and he told her--all grumpy: "I am not in the mood." Hilarious.

Glad you're having a good week. Love lazy times with the kids.

We love Phineas and Ferb (or as my then-2-year-old said, "Fee Ferm!") (She's now 3, and has progressed to "Feess an' Ferm"). We even dressed up as Phineas and Ferb for Halloween last year: I was Candace, my then-4-year-old son was Ferb, my then-2-year-old daughter was Phineas, my husband was Doofenshmirtz and the baby was . . . Agent P.

@Jenny Yay for 2nd grade! My son has been so bored this summer as well. I'm sort of happy he'll have something to do. :)
@Sarah Pearson Yay for awesome friends! How fun. I love being around teenagers. They are hilarious and never run out of things to say. ;)
@Ruth Josse Only one kiddo at home? How would that be?! lol :)
@Melanie Jacobson Isn't it so hilarous? Where's Perry? LOL! :D
@Angie Cothran Thank you! Fridays I don't really like thinking of anything too serious. I just post whatever. Obviously.. ;)
@Megan Ugh! I hate colds! Hope you're feeling better! You just discovered Goodreads? I heart Goodreads! You'll have to friend me on there! :D
@Kristin Baker Przybyla Isn't it so funny? I laugh at least once or twice every episode. It's a great show. :)
@Samantha Thank you!! I hope you had a great week as well! ;)
@Mel Fowler Yay for crit partners! They are the best. A neighborhood preschool would be so nice. I wish my kids would stop growing. Seriously. I still can't believe I have a first grader.
@Abby You have better stories than me with your kids! :D ha ha!
@Brooke R. Busse Yay for high school! I'm glad you had a good time! Enjoy it while you can. It goes by so fast! :)
@Jessie Humphries My friend Jenn got a deal in Italy, and the other two I can't remember their names right now. My brain isn't working. I'll think about it and let you know! Too many bloggers! LOL! And I'm totally not popular. I just like to pretend I am. ;)
@Kaylee Baldwin Ha ha! Thanks for the laugh! 4 year olds really are hilarious.
@Jordan McCollum What a fun Halloween costume idea! I may have to steal that one... ;)

Your daughter is hilarious. And so is Phineas and Ferb! Hubby and I love that show so much it's ridiculous.

Good luck on your WIP! I hope the writing flows. :)

Ah, those are very happy things. I like these kinds of posts. I might have to try one myself some time. And 4 year olds say the funniest things.

Chicken looks like a bird - that's funny.

I think the kids in NC go back to school next week, which is so weird to me. We always went back the day after Labor Day, which was also the last day of the State Fair. Can't imagine going back in August - it's still summer.
