What about you?

I was thinking about you guys this morning . I want to know a few things about you, since you're probably sick of reading about me all the time. :) I'd like to get to know you a little better, so answer these questions in the comments. Right now. I mean, if you want. You don't have to. I'm not pushy. And I realize they are totally random, but we are writers! Enlighten me. ;)

1. What is one book you wish you had written?

2. What Disney movie is your favorite? If any? (Animated. I may or may not own them all ... )

3. Do you prefer sweet or salty?

4. What type of paranormal creature would you be? And why?

5. Something you couldn't live without? Excluding hubby's, wives, children and pets. :)

I love random questions, don't you? ;) *Grabs popcorn*

1. You're asking me to choose just one? Umm...how about one series? The Memory, Sorrow and Thorn epic fantasy trilogy by Tad Williams. This series is probably the reason I don't write fantasy!

2. I'll say Cinderella, but it's more because it's the only time my Dad took me to the cinema than for the film.

3. Sweet, no contest.

4. An Angel. I'd love to be someone's guardian without them knowing.

5. Music. All of it :-)

1. I dont' wish I had written other's books, though there are authors I would like to be able to write like. Mostly I wish I could write the stories in my head the way they deserve.

2. Hmmm, gonna have to think. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale so that may win by default.

3.Depends on my mood. I'm a fickle creature completely driven by my moods. My poor husband.

4. Elasta Girl! Who wouldn't want to be her?

5. Excluding hubby's wives, children and scriptures...I'd have to say books and food. I need them both and I like them together. As long as I don't forget which one is which....

1. What is one book you wish you had written?

Wuthering Heights. I'm not normally a dark person so I don't exactly know why I love this book so much.

2. What Disney movie is your favorite? If any? (Animated. I may or may not own them all ... )

Beauty and the Beast, I think.

3. Do you prefer sweet or salty?

Salty. I can't have sweets. *sigh*

4. What type of paranormal creature would you be? And why?

Um . . . I don't know. The 12 year old in me has always wanted to be in the X-men. Does that count?

5. Something you couldn't live without? Excluding hubby's, wives, children and pets. :)

Movies. Can't imagine life without them. I'm a lifelong hardcore movie geek.

2. I've got a huge soft spot for "Aladdin."

3. Salty.

4. Hmm... Well, I get rather furry if I don't go to the barber regularly enough, so I'll say "werewolf."

5. Music. I love my iPod because I can carry thousands of albums with me anywhere I go.

2. Beauty and the Beast. Mainly because Beauty loves to read, and I thought that was so cool when I was younger.

3. Sweet, hands down.

4. Um, fairy? It would be awesome to have wings.

5. Chocolate. Always necessary.

What a fun idea!

Jenny S. Morris said...

1. I don't think any of them. The characters belong to the author and I feel weird about saying I would want to own them. But, I do wish I could write in verse. That would be awesome!

2. The Toy Story Movies. I know they are Pixar, but it's Disney Pixar now, and almost all my favorites are Pixar.

3.sweet.

4. Nothing that had to drink blood, or bite people. Defiantly something that could fly. So an angel or fairy.

5. I'm going to have to go with Chocolate on this one.

Jolene Perry said...

1. Speak by Halse Anderson - I kept reading and thinking - THIS IS HOW I THINK! WHY doesn't it come out on paper?? And Two-Way Street by Barnholdt - not because it was so amazing, but because I can't believe I hadn't thought of the idea first.

2. Favorite?? Uh . . . Despicable Me, The Emperor's New Groove, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs . . . I know those aren't all disney, but . . .

5. My computer? Books? Music? A delightfully thick blanket to wrap myself in???

Fun :D

Ooh, fun questions! I'd love to hear your answers to these too. :)

1. Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. It's my idea of perfection in YA literature.

2. Beauty and the Beast. I think I loved Belle as a kid because she was a bookworm like me.

3. Sweet or salty...hm, depends on my mood.

4. I'd love to be some kind of shape shifter. I always thought it'd be cool, because you could shift into an animal and fly or run really fast, so you'd basically have all the coolest super powers. :)

5. I couldn't live without...um...trying to be creative...a washing machine. Okay, I could (I've washed my clothes by hand before), but I really wouldn't want to!

M.J. Fifield said...

1. I wish I had written The President's Daughter series by Ellen Emerson White. Those books had such a huge impact on me as a teen and I'm still obsessed with them today.

2. I'd have to say The Little Mermaid. That, or The Lion King

3. Sweet.

4. Werewolf. They just seem less lame than vampires.

5. Chocolate. Definitely chocolate.

And yes, I do love random questions. Enjoy the popcorn!

Shari said...

1. Many, but Hunger Games is definitely on the list.
2. Sleeping Beauty
3. Definitely sweet.
4. A fairy? Then I could fly (my last name is Bird after all)
5. Garden tomatoes.

Random is my middle name, well not literally, but still that is how my brain works--randomly.

@Angie Cothran I LOVE Hercules!! :D The music is awesome. Another one I love is The Hunchback. That music is fantastic. Not a lot of people love that one though.

@Shari Oooohh! We've had our first Sleeping Beauty! I love the prince in that movie. He's super cute. And garden tomatoes? I'd rather starve to death! lol They aren't my fav. But I do love them in salsa! ;) Thanks for stopping by! :D

2. Tarzan. I got my first kiss from my husband on a date to see that movie.

3. Sweet. Then salty. Then more sweet.

4. Hmmmm...I don't know.

5. Books, of course! :)

1. This question always makes me feel weird, because books I admire aren't necessarily books I wish I'd written, but here goes: The Princess Bride.

2. The Lion King, by far

3. Depends on the day, honestly. But usually salty.

4. A unicorn, because they're lovely and innocent-looking until you make a wrong move. THEN YOU GET THE HORN.

1. It isn't any one book, it's the first line from Andrea Cremer's Nightshade. I just double checked to make sure I get it right, wouldn't want to do it a disservice. "I'd always welcomed war, but in battle my passion rose unbidden."
Holy crow, how I wish I'd written that line. I. Was. Hooked.

2. Fav Disney flick is Mulan

3. Sweet AND salty, baby!

4. I would be a fairy, sprinkling happy dust on the world. "I said be happy, dammit!"

2. TANGLED!! Wait was that a Disney movie?

3. SWEET!! And Salty!! Yum... I like to eat, lol.

4. A ghost! I could spy on everyone without them seeing me!

5. Umm, my iPhone?

1. I've never wished I'd written any book. Would have liked to live in a few of the worlds created. Think that's why I like fantasy so much.
2. Disney?
3. Salty.
4. dreamwalker. Might be a little dangerous if it's a nightmare though.
5. Music and reading. I'd have to sing to myself and write my own stories if I had to I guess.

Amanda Milner said...

Ooh! Fun questions!!

1.) Ok, I'll say it...Twilight. I mean, come on, it's practiacally a franchise. People fight over who loves her characters the most and they stand in the cold for hours to watch the movie. (I did. Lol!)

2.) I watched Tangled 5 times already, I think it has moved up to my favorite. ;)

3.)Salty! I want popcorn hardcore right now.

4.)Shapeshifter. It'd be awesome to be able to shift into anything that fits the situation your in.

5.) Music. I listen to it all day long. :)

Thanks, that was fun. ☺

3. Salty.

4. Witch. They're cool.

5. Books.

One book that I wish I had written is THE DARK FIELDS by Alan Glynn. I just saw the movie, LIMITLESS, last night based on this novel, and I was like, "Yeah, why didn't I think of writing a story about how to access and use all of our brain power instead of just 20% of it?"

But at least now, my creative juices are flowing, haha!
