Random Thoughts From This Week

HELLO to all my new followers! :D It's so nice to have you here and to meet you!

Okay. Let's let the random Friday begin.:)

1. I read and finished a book by an awesome writer. It's not out yet, I was just beta reading, BUT I can't wait for it to get published. It was excellent. I loved it. (Uh ... by the way, Renee, write me something else. Like right now. ;)

2. I'm getting used to dropping my son off at school every day. My 4 year old cried a few times this week because he was gone all day. She kept saying, "I don't know what to do." Sad day. But she's doing better. As long as there are princesses and pet shops, she's good.

3. I have tomatoes taking over my garden. I don't even like tomatoes, but I do use them to make salsa. Mmmm... salsa. I skip the chunky stuff and go straight for the sauce. My hubby loves the chunky stuff. We compliment each other so well. ;)

4. I'm at 32000 words on my WIP. Slow progress this week, but that's okay. Hopefully I'll do better next week!

5. I'm addicted to Pinterest. Yes. Yes, I am. So many great ideas for decorating, gifts, etc.

Examples...

I would love a secret door that led to my writing cave. No one would ever find me! Bwah ha ha ha!
Uh ... I'm in love with this. I want to marry it.
Do you use pinterest? Anything exciting happen this week? Have a great weekend!! :D

Hmm. Low word count. Pinterest. Connection? ;-) Ha!

I love that book bed! Surrounded by books sounds like a good way to go to sleep.

I've never heard of pinterest...uh oh. And at this point, I'd give my left foot for a man cave period! :)

Notice I didn't say arm. Must. Write.

I got back to writing this week, which was exciting for me. I moved at the end of last week so the last couple weeks haven't been great for writing. Slowly getting back into the groove. Want to finish in September.

I've heard the term thrown around but I've never actually looked for what it was or meant where pinterest is concerned.

You really need to meet my wife. She's also a pinterest addict and decorating fiend. And judging from the pictures you posted, you probably have similar tastes too!

Oh dear! I've been sucked into the Pinterest world. All thanks to my good friend, Chantele! I really don't need one more thing to spend my time on, but oh, it's fun. And how fabulous is that writers cave!

I love Pinterest! What's your user ID? (Mine is MamaBlogga.)

I don't care for tomatoes, either, but I do like salsa. Crazy, huh? I won our ward salsa contest last year. The secret: lime. Mm.

I want to marry that stuff too! We'll fight over it. ;) What's Pinterest? Some of my friends have posted stuff from it, but I'm still hopelessly behind, as usual.

My sister invited me to Pinterest but I haven't accepted yet because I know I'm going to end up wasting tons of time there. Ack!

Pinterest is cool. Major time suck, though. Like, black hole of time sucks that you cannot get out of . . .

For me anyway.

Love those pics! I would never envision a door like that in my house, but my husband would and I'd go along and he would be right. Garden tomatoes. Snacked on three this morning! Love 'em.

Oh my gosh - I didn't even know about pinterest, but I LOVE the secret door and the awesome bed/couch/thingy! I want it - I want it! I think it is a must when I finally get to build my own house one day.

Glad the little one is getting used to your son being gone. I think that has been part of Paisley's problem this week. Adjustment can be hard. And I think you are rocking your WIP!

Maggie said...

I'm also at 32k with no progress this week. But school starts next week, so I hope to get back in the swing of things.

Angela Cothran said...

I try and stay away from Pinterest, because I can tell it will be trouble for me. Love your random thoughts.

Jenna Cooper said...

Oh my goodness. That secret entrance--perfect!! And the book nook looks like heaven!

Heidi Tighe said...

Pinterest rocks! It's got so many incredible ideas.

One of the things I do is find images of things or settings or people that appear in my stories and pin them to a "creative inspiration" board. Then when I'm writing, I sometimes keep it open and it helps me keep the feel of the milieu or scene in mind. I LOVE it!

I keep hearing about Pinterest, but I haven't tried it yet. Great work on your WIP! I'm glad your making progress. I'm jealous of all your tomatoes. Mine are still green. It's September, I know. I guess I should give up on them, but for some reason I keep watering them.

Jessie Humphries said...

Pinterest??? What the H? Never heard of it, but you bet I'm about to google it.

@Maggie I hate it when I don't get anything done on my book. But the next few weeks look good, so I think I'll get a few more thousand words in. Crossing my fingers!
@Angie Cothran I definitely should have stayed away! LOL :)
@Jenna Cooper I know, right? I would LOVE to have both in my house someday!
@Heidi Tighe I have a board that says "Writing Inspiration!" I love it! :D
