Random Thoughts From This Week

1. You know that show E.T. that everyone loves? Of course you do. It's a classic or whatever. Anyway, it scarred me for life as a child. I hate it. Refuse to watch it. I think it might have had to do with my mom going to see it in theaters when she was pregnant with me. She said I was out of control kicking her. And I still hate it. My hubby would have to drag me kicking and screaming to make me watch it! Creepy little alien.

2. Just finished beta reading a fab book from an awesome blogger. And now I have another one to read and I'm so excited! I told you I was taking December off from writing! Even though I did write the first chapter to my new book. ;)

3. Renee Collins, just signed with an agent. I'm all sorts of happy for her. She totally deserves it. Her book is AWESOME. Go check out her blog and tell her congrats!! :D

4. Presents are all wrapped and under the tree. Boo-yah.

5. It's cold. Is it possible to love the snow and hate the cold that comes with it? I love watching it out the window, but going outside? No thanks. I freeze my butt off every single time. And does anyone else seem to have cold feet and fingers all winter long? Maybe it's just me...

Have a great weekend! :D

My presents are all wrapped too. That takes FOREVER! I'm so glad it's done.
I don't mind the cold (when I am inside :) Then snow makes me feel like I can take the day off and read.

E.T.'s not creepy as long you realize how fake he is :) and I need to go wrap some presents becasue now I feel like a slacker!

I was watching ET the other day with my kids and I realized at one point the mom left four year old Drew Barrymore alone in the house to go pick her other kid up from school. You could so NOT get away with that nowadays.

Oh no, E.T. is such an awesome movie! My hubby won't let me put the presents under the tree until Christmas. He like the surprise the kids get with a suddenly full tree.

E.T. is kind of creepy. Maybe that's why I don't like that movie. Hmmm.

E.T. always freaked me out too! People never understood why I was so scared of that movie.

Typing with cold fingers is hard. Lots of backspacing.

I think E.T. creeped out a lot of kids. I don't remember ever seeing it all the way through until the 2002 winter olympics. They had a screening of the movie at Abravanel Hall for the 20th anniversary of the film and that's the first time I remember seeing it start to finish. I was a junior in high school.

I hate the cold and the snow so I have no knowledge of whether it's possible to hate the cold but love the snow.

I've bought all but one gift and all the ones I've bought are wrapped. It's so much easier if you wrap as you obtain the gifts.

My gifts are all wrapped too. Enjoy your weekend!

Braggart! My presents ARE NOT wrapped and under the tree. Nor do I have a fabulous new family picture to share.

As far as ET, what really really bothered me was the little boy getting drunk.

Congrats to Renee! I'm hearing all kinds of fabulous news today.

I totally agree with you about ET! I saw it when I was 7, and I... didn't get it. I didn't get what was so sad about him having to back to his planet. Who wouldn't want to go home? Everyone around me was crying, and I was annoyed because... I didn't get it. :/

I swear I'm not dead inside! I do have feelings! Just not for that particular movie.

I swear I am permanently freezing cold right now. I absolutely could not warm up today until I put on flannel pj's and sat in front of the fire. I also love the snow (and rain, too), but just want to sit in a warm, cozy house and watch it.

You know, I was never bothered by E.T., but I was apparently quite traumatized by Bambi. I still don't want to watch it. So sad. My mom said I would watch it over and over as a child and insist to her that this time Babmi's mom would be okay. And then I would be destroyed when she wasn't. Yet I had to watch it constantly, because I knew if I kept watching it, it would change. Does that make me an eternal optimist? She finally hid the movie and told me she couldn't find it.

I'm jealous of your present filled tree. My kids would destroy them if I attempted, Maybe when they're older. *sigh*

Oooh, someone sounds ready for Christmas. (Minus the cold!) I actually absolutely love the snow and the cold! Crazy, right? ;)

Okay, that is hilarious. A commercial for ET came on TV the other day and my new roommate FREAKED out. Like, I thought she was going to have a panic attack. So apparently you aren't the only one =)

Sooo funny about ET! LOL.
And yes, I saw Renee got an agent, and I'm so happy for her--since yanno, I know EXACTLY what she's been through, lol.
Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by my blog the other day--it was really nice to see you around! :D

My ET memory - my sister made fun of me at the movie theater for lifting my hand and wanting to touch ET's finger at the end.
The presents wrapped and under the tree? I wish. You are the woman!
