Awards! :)

I am so horrible remembering awards people have given me. But I do remember some from the past few days! Thank you J.A. Bennett for the Great Comments Award! Thank you to Samantha for the Versatile blogger award! And last but not least, Lynne Schmidt for the Inspirational blog award! You guys ROCK!

I think you guys pretty much know all the random facts you would want to know about me, but the awards say I have to do it anyway. :) I'll just pick 5.

1. I played soccer and competition softball for years. You probably couldn't tell now...

2. I was in Madrigals in high school and sang South Pacific's Honey Bun to one of my friends for one of our concerts. I dressed as a guy in a sailor suit and he dressed as a girl in coconut shells. It was hilarious!

3. I would rather have water than any other drink. Plain Jane. That's me. :)

4. You wouldn't know from my blog, but I'm pretty shy. It takes me a while to actually get the courage to say hi to someone. This whole writing thing has been great for me. I'm learning not to care what people think of me and have made some wonderful friends.

5. Whenever hubby and I go to a restaurant, I always have a certain menu item I choose at every place. Hubby always chooses interesting things, but I have to choose my one menu item that I know I'll like. I can't order something not knowing if I'll hate it or not. I'm pretty picky. Actually, that's an understatement. I'm VERY picky! :)

Now, I hate choosing just a few people for an award, so consider yourselves awarded! I know. I'm lame. But I always feel bad if I don't choose everyone! :)

I'm the same way with restaurants. (So is my mom.) If I do branch out and order something other than my usual, I end up disappointed 9 times in 10 so I don't branch out hardly ever anymore. We do try new places from time to time, though.

I used to be the opposite about water. Give me anything but. Once I stopped drinking caffeine, I really stopped drinking soda and then water became the drink of choice.

Don't know if you can scrape a few more facts out of the barrel, but I've just awarded you the Versatile Blogger again!! Um, congrats!

I'm shy too. I feel very similar to what you said in number four.

I usually end up having one menu item over and over at restaurants too. If you know you like it, why ruin your night by trying something you might hate, right? :)

I always stare at the menu for like ten minutes and then end up picking the same thing I do every time, lol. If it wasn't so darn expensive, I could be a little more ballsy when picking something to eat. :)

Oh boy, I'm not only shy, I'm awkward too. It's a great combination for meeting new people. But blogging/writing has been great for me too. I can talk and open up and there's always backspace to rescue me. :)

Although I'd probably try most kinds of food at least once, I usually stick to my favorites when we go out to eat.

I often will try something new. I am a pretty easily satisfied eater, as long as it doesn't have raisins or jello.

I can be pretty shy too, in certain situations. But as a cashier I have to talk to people so I guess it's gotten easier.

And I played competition softball too! I never really liked it though, only did it because my dad wanted me to. I was terrified of the ball haha.

Congratulations on the awards. So much bloggerly love :-)

I was in the Madrigals at my high school as well, though I didn't have quite the fun singing moment as you had.

I also drink a ton of water, though recently I've gotten heavily into tea. It's like water, but....not :)

Congrats on the awards! And I can totally see you singing Honey Bun to a guy in a grass skirt...:) One of my favorite songs from South Pacific!

I am SUCH a picky eater.

Eating at friends' houses used to terrify me, lol.

Do you have pics of you singing to this boy in coconut shells?? Cause I'd pay to see that ;-O

Hi Chantele,

Congrats on the awards, well done and I know you said we could pick an award, which was very nice of you, so I choose the Natio-- (RoboVoice: "to continue this comment, please insert 25 cents for three extra minutes")

I'm a water drinker as well. Maybe a diet pop once in a while. And the restaurant thing I can totally relate to that. I have a hard time branching out. Have a great weekend.

I do the same thing at restaurants--if I find a favorite meal, I'm not letting it go! Haha, happy weekend!
