Random Thoughts From This Week

1. I'm almost finished with Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Oh, snap. It's awesome.

2. After I've finished writing a book it's SO hard for me to focus on a new one. I have so many ideas, it's hard to pick just one. Does anyone else have this problem? I sort of get in a funk. I don't want to write, don't want to plot or anything, because I can't decide which idea is the best. Then, after stewing for weeks and sometimes a month or so, all of a sudden I snap out of it and know exactly what I'm going to work on. It finally happened this week. Hopefully I'll keep at it.

3. I'm ready for summer.

4. Two of my kids have birthday's in the next 2 weeks. I'm going to have a 7 year old! Holy crap! How? Why? When did that happen? And I can't believe I'll have a 5 year old either. Then in March, my baby will turn 2. Time goes by way too fast.

5. Does anyone elses hands get cold when they type on the computer? Mine are always freezing! I need some of those gloves where the tips of my fingers stick out. I may have to go look for some today...

Have a great weekend!

My sister in law gave me some hand crocheted fingerless gloves. Can I just tell you - AMAZING! There are tons of them on etsy. I promise you won't regret this purchase - I'm the exact same way :)

I sometimes get that sort of funk where I just don't feel inspired for anything. I snap out of it eventually but it can take a while. Have a good weekend!

I have son turning seven on the seventeenth. Time does go so fast. Wait until they turn thirteen. Now that's weird!

I vote for summer too. Although this winter hadn't been bad at all. In fact it's kind of creeped me out. Even though I hate the snow, there should be some of it.

I've been wanting to get my hands on that book, too. Kids grow up fast. Are you throwing two birthday parties or just one? Good luck with that:) And while my husband complains about my chronically cold hands, I'd have to say they feel warm and toasty right now.

I'm always cold. Always. Sometimes I think I'm a reptile.

On another note, I have a tough time picking my projects too. My idea file is STUFFED.

Have a great weekend!

My 7 year old will by 8 in 2 weeks. That doesn't seem real. I am so ready for spring/summer. Sigh. Oh and my fingers and feet are always cold when I work on my computer at home.

Have a great weekend.

I have some of those gloves! A lady at church made me some b/c she knows I type a lot and my hands stay cold!

They don't work, but they're cute as all get out! :)

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday to your little people.

Maybe what you need is a hot cup of tea by your side at all writerly times :) that should help your hands stay warm.

I don't have that idea problem. My mind can only hold...like 2 :) Summer already? You are in for a long winter.

I bought LDStorymakers tickets last night. Yay! Will I see you there?

I can't wait to hear about your new idea :)

I can't believe I'll have a seven year old tomorrow! Wow...I'm feeling older.

My hands get cold when I type, but not as cold as when I drive! It's weird. Go find some gloves :)

only one of my hands gets cold. And it's never the same one! Haha, it's like they switch off.

Yes! The writers funk, I get that too! I'm glad I'm not alone with that and the cold finger thing:)

My hands get cold all the time. I like to think they're moving so fast, they create such winds that freeze them.

I have a hard time picking just one project. I'm an ADD writer that way.

I've heard so many good things about Shatter Me! I'll have to add that to my TBR list. Also, I am SO not ready for summer! It hasn't even snowed here yet except for a light layer. I want some real snow before I can say goodbye to winter :)

My right hand gets ice cold :) I got fingerless gloves and a snuggy from my family for Christmas last year (okay I guess it's now officially two years ago)! Glad I'm not the only one, my husband thinks I'm crazy (probably for more than just the cold right typing hand) :)

Number 5 is too funny, because I totally started rubbing my cold hands while reading your post (I had been typing for about half an hour before breaking to look at blogs). I guess I could use some of those gloves, too!
I'm ready for summer as well :)

Ah, I just may have to read SHATTER ME. :)Hmm, good luck choosing an idea. I usually don't have that prob--usually one stands out more than another. Haha, you're ready for summer. ;o)

YES, my hands freeze when I type and sit at the computer! I've thought about getting some cheap gloves and just cutting off the tips. And MY "babies" are 25 and 23. Sniff! Time does go by fast...

Whoa, my hands freeze too and I've worn gloves while typing. I'd forgotten about that until I read your post — I wonder why my hands aren't cold this winter? Hmm . . . Maybe I've had the fireplace on more than usual. I love how cozy the fireplace is!

I'm dying to know what you decided to work on ;D

I'm just finishing a VERY rough draft of another contemp that I'm in LOVE with - though, aren't we always in love with the new project??

My babies are all teenagers now and the real baby is 10. One day they are hanging on me and won't let me out of their site and the next they would rather hang out with friends (and boyfriends) than mom. Go figure. Sometimes I long for a really tight hug and a kiss, but that would embarrass them. Enjoy it while they are young.

You think that's bad, try having two fifteen year olds :-)
